Don’t be afraid

While creating my Wanderlust itinerary, I skimmed through the line-up registering exclusively for Kula Flow classes taught namely by Schuyler Grant.   Kula is my Shangri-la – my utopian, bliss guaranteed, home away from home – and I’d be amiss to ditch an opportunity to soak up some inspiration and bliss from, what I consider to be, the source.   I relish in their meticulous, bordering-on-anal-retentive, and perfectly seamless sequencing that in the juiciest of manners kicks your ass until you melt away into your super sweet savasana.   Wouldn’t you?

Always a Student, the Delayed 2nd Part

Almost a week after my last post, I am finally feeling like myself again.  I managed to injure my lower back several days ago doing something.  I believe it was life, not yoga, that caused my pain.  My post today is not about my injury and the lessons it taught me even though injuries and wisdom certainly will be a subject of one or many future posts.

My pain subsided yesterday and I waited an extra day before attempting any advanced postures to avoid another injury. For the last week, Instead of my usual yoga routine, I became a student of my injury.  I visited my chiropractor and practiced a tremendous amount of plank and uddiyana bandha kriya.  I am feeling significantly better (not to mention strong and quite cleansed) and now I am super excited to share this amazing variation of viparita dandhasana.  Hopefully, I did not keep you in suspense for too long.   Continue reading
